Helmed by two of streetwear’s most enigmatic figures, Cav Empt (C.E) is the brainchild of Sk8thing and Toby Feltwell. Sk8thing is responsible for definitive branding and graphic aesthetics behind such seminal brands as BAPE®, Billionaire Boys Club/Ice Cream, HUMAN MADE and WTAPS. Feltwell maintains a considerable career, working with Mo’Wax records as well as closely alongside NIGO®. Named after the Latin term caveat emptor (buyer beware), and resembling the Conformité Européenne (CE) imprint, the brand plays with themes of consumerism and conformity. A Tokyo-based brand with London influences, Cav Empt injects graphic heavy designs into reinterpreted menswear classics with relevant social commentaries.
